Again, it wasn’t Vince’s idea! What is wrong with me? We went Wednesday and while I was there, I remembered I needed to get a prescription refilled so when I used the app, I remembered I was supposed to go back to the doctor after working up to using the rowing machine for 30 minutes a day but since I haven’t used it in two weeks, I want to wait til I’ve been using it every day. So, I had the pharmacy call to get the Rx refilled. It was ready to be picked up yesterday afternoon so this morning, I told Vince I needed to run to Walmart. Of course .. he wanted to go. Therein lies the problem.
I walked up to the pharmacy just as they were opening, had already paid on my phone so all I had to do was scan the code, and someone would hand me my Rx. Vince said “I’ll be over in that area” and he walked off. I was out of the Rx area in less than one minute and couldn’t find him anywhere. I walked up and down that area a dozen times, then thought maybe he had gone back towards electronics. No Vince. I had mentioned wanting to get a brisket so I thought maybe he had walked over to the grocery area; went over there. No Vince. I walked by the lady who stands up near the checkouts so many times that she said “Can I help you find something?” I told her I was looking for my husband.
I decided to stop and stand in the middle of the front so hopefully he’d come by and I’d see him. Did that for about 10 minutes. No Vince. Made another circle around the store and when I walked by the lady at the front, she said “There’s a man walking around looking for his wife!” I said “I see him . . down there!” She walked out into the aisle where she could see and said “That’s him!” We all laughed.
38 minutes I was looking for him.
When we were in Walmart Tuesday, he bought a TV that was on sale. Today, he bought another TV on sale. It isn’t a huge TV. He said he’s going to use it for his computer monitor. I don’t believe that! He uses a laptop.
We’ll see . . right now it’s sitting on the floor in our tiny family room, next to the new TV that’s hooked up and next to the old TV we had been using. I wish we had no TVs in this house but I don’t see that ever happening. Vince probably dreams of a house with no yarn and that isn’t ever happening so I guess we’re even.

Next time he disappears can you call him and ask his whereabouts? I think I would have had a fit; (kindof like the lady at the hotel (haha)

My spouse and I have an agreed upon meeting place and it’s always the magazine aisle. He’s content browsing magazines while he waits and I know where to look for him.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve picked up my phone and called my husband when he wanders off and I can’t find him when I am shopping and he insists on going with me. It happened just this past week in the grocery store! Naturally he took the cart with him and when I found him he had already put lots of items I really didn’t want to bring into the house into the cart.

This is hilarious! Dont you each carry cellphones?

Oh! Makes me crazy when I turn around and hubby has disappeared….and it only takes seconds! Once, I just went and sat in the car to wait for him….and somehow he made it seem I was the one with the problem!!! Fun times!

But if there were no tvs and no yarn … what would you do all day? LOL I know! Read six Kindles!

OMG! That sounds like my husband!!! But of course, its my fault not his that we “lose” each other. ONe of the many reasons I don’t go shopping with him if I can help it.

My mother was like that. She got “lost” the minute we walked into the store and wasn’t found til she was ready to go.
