Rita woke up at 4:30 this morning. Every time we both go somewhere and leave her alone for a few hours, she ends up with tummy issues. Yesterday we went to town – furniture store, two grocery stores . . gone a couple of hours. She still hasn’t eaten a bite today. What on earth do you do with a dog like that?
Vince couldn’t go back to sleep after I got back in bed from taking Rita out so he got up a little after 5. I went back to sleep and slept til 7 when Vince stuck his head in the bedroom and said “Your bacon is ready!” That will get me up every time!
We slept on the Restonic mattress set in the extra room last night and it’s fine. So, we . . just the two of us . . took the Serta set off the master bedroom bed, moved it into the living room, took the Restonic set from the extra room and moved it into the master bedroom, then put the Serta set on the frame in the extra room. That meant taking the sheets off both beds, washing them; vacuuming under both beds, making the beds. Ugh . . that was work!
Vince’s recliner is worn out. I had the same one but mine was about 6 years newer and I had told him he could have mine and I would take the smaller recliner out of the extra bedroom. I actually like it better but when Speck would sit up in my chair with me, it was too small for both of us so that’s why we got the bigger recliner for me.
Vince took his out and will take it to the dump; he took mine, I took the one out of the bedroom.
This is what was under my recliner and it hadn’t been but a couple of months since I had moved it and vacuumed under it. Stitch markers, mini scissors, tip protectors . . no wonder I was running short on stitch markers.
I’m surely glad I made chili yesterday or we’d be hungry because I’m way too tired to cook anything.
I think we’re to the point that when we leave here, we aren’t going to have any furniture to move because everything will either get donated or tossed. We’ll have yarn though! 🙂

That container of stuff made me laugh! Not that I have any room to talk. 😉

Wow!! That container was too funny!! I thought I was bad!! (Well, that’s what I keep telling myself!) Poor Rita. She must have really gone through a lot in a former life before finding you!!

I wonder if a tape of you and Vince talking might comfort her? Just an idea.

Save the yarn!!

I have not moved my sofa since I bought this house, and I really don’t want to know what’s under there! LOL I have vacuumed a few times, and fished out things that I knew fell down there, but that’s as far as I’m willing to go without a very bright flashlight! You did a lot of work and should sleep well tonight!

So that’s where they all were!

Always fun to find a lost treasure. While cleaning our garage a couple of weeks ago my husband found my CD case full of my fav CD’s. It had been 3 _ 4 years! How it got out there I will never know; I always keep it in my sewing room where I either listen to audio books & music

Congratulations on finding a better mattress right in your own home! And moving it too. And solving the recliner problem! I recognize the lid all those little things are sitting in. I love those plastic lids for canning jars-then I don’t have to fiddle with the ring and lid for a jar.
