I’ve decided on a yarn but not a pattern yet.
This is Harrisville’s Highland Worsted. I’ll either make mittens or a hat. I was thinking I could make the same hat or mitten pattern each month and have a rainbow of hats or mittens.
Has anyone else decided what to do for the color challenge?

No I haven’t decided as of yet but I am in the Hanging Dishtowel so that might be in the selection pot! But will let it stew just a tad longer!

I have decided to use up my selvages. I have boxes of each color. so far, i have made 41 6″ blocks of selvages around an I Spy block; 50 6″ blocks of straight line selvages; and am currently working on circling hexies…118 of them. the box is about half empty, so i have many more to go. hope i can get them all done this month.

I’m thinking of doing some small table runners and mug rugs for my kitchen table & desk. It is a good way to try out some new block and quilting designs. My current mug rug is stained and really needs to be replaced and something red would be good for have for Valentine’s Day.

I am working on a quilt I started in 2013 that has a lot of red in it. I am finding that I really like the fabrics and I’m not sure why I let it sit for so long.

I made a red and white quilt last February and have been unable to decide how to quilt it. I know that I don’t want to do an edge to edge pantograph design. I am going to finally decide how I want to quilt it, be brave enough to do something other than a pantograph and get it finished. Haha, at least that is my plan!

I made a red dish rag for my friend she loves mine and I figured it would be good for the giveaway challenge and the red color challenge…

You can make something in red and give it as a Valentine present to someone!! That would kill two birds with one stone!

My knitting guild collects red preemie caps in February for the NICU at the local hospital. It’s to celebrate Heart Month. I have a pattern for a cute hat with hearts in reverse stockinette. That’s what I’ll make. (If I can find the pattern in my messy spare room!)
