Fern & Feather has not been blocked but the knitting is done.
I’m not happy with the yarn. I liked the striping until I got about two-thirds down the body. You may remember that I didn’t like it the first time I finished it, ripped back and re-did it and I think it looks worse now. Even alternating skeins, I had two skeins that had solid sections together and I couldn’t get past the solid. I ended up cutting off one skein and adding another skein and it had lots of very light yarn and created even more defined striping. I’m not sure what I could have done differently. It’s hard to tell how the striping is going to show up in such a tonal yarn and it’s hard to look at a skein and see how it’s going to “stripe”.
When I first started using this yarn, which is a discontinued yarn, I was sad I didn’t have more of it. After dealing with the stripes/solid/more stripes, I’m glad I don’t have more of it.
I do like the sweater and I like the fit and I will wear it plenty.
Definitely not my oldest UFO but at least it’s one marked off the list.

Even with the striping I think it turned out beautiful! I live the colowork at the top, I should try that!

I love the way the yarn striped. I think it gives the sweater character and interest. The colorwork is also very pretty. If I knitted sweaters, this is one I would love to have because it looks like something I would wear quite often.

I see what you are talking about, but to me it still looks a lot like a fade. It’s beautiful!
