Remember when life was simple and we didn’t have all these cords and devices and the world still turned and things truly were much easier? It seems that every time I go anywhere for more than a night or so, I need a charger for the phone (Android), a charger for the iPad, a charger for the Kindle. The Kindle and phone chargers are the same . . or at least they seem the same to me. Almost every time I go out of town, I have to buy some kind of charger and I still never have the charger I need.
Last night I was back at the hotel and had just finished talking to Vince. I looked at my phone . . 9% phone charge . . and that’s when I remembered that the phone charger was at the apartment. It’s probably less than 3 miles to the apartment but I was not going back over there. I went downstairs to see if maybe they had one someone had left or one I could borrow. Nope but the guy told me where Walmart is located . . yes, I have eyes! Right out my bedroom window. Not buying another charger. Went back upstairs, got the car keys, dug around in the car and found two phone chargers. I have to plug them into the USB port on the phone but at least the phone wasn’t dead.
With it being the weekend, I figured Chad and Nicole were going to either want us to go somewhere or want to tell me they’re going somewhere and if I didn’t answer the phone, they were going to be worried.
Wish all my problems were so easily solved but I suppose . . they really are!

My old phone used the same charger as my kindle which was great. Then I got a new phone. I suggest you start leaving chargers at the apt for the future!

I thought I had lost the charger to my Kindle when we got back from Ft. Davis! There was no way we could go back there to get one. So I used the phone charger on it. The I was looking at the power strip where I plug the Kindle up and there it was! LOL I just told Pat I found it! LOL

We have to have duplicates of our chargers. One for the house and one for the fifth wheel. In case one of us ..ahem… forgets our chargers .. LOL

Yay for finding chargers in the car! I think they are the same, too. I don’t have an Android phone, so I have an Apple charger, a Mac charger, and a Kindle charger. But I also have Apple and Android in the car, so if I forgot one at the house, I could use the car ones. We are never short around here. My son found out that so much of that stuff is donated to Goodwill, they throw it out, so he has scavenged several for his phone and mine from nice clean Goodwill garbage. The woven kind, too, that I like! They also throw away perfectly good socks – a whole pile of Star Wars ones in all sizes last week, looking like they’d never been worn. It’s crazy.
In fact, come to think of it, he got a Gen 3 Kindle they threw out, and it works fine, too! It’s better than the Gen 2 I passed along to him, so we deregistered it and put it on my account, and I loaded it up with books I thought he’d like from my vast collection. I’m sure Goodwill thought no one would want it, but that’s not true. Lots of people would be happy with it for a few bucks, let alone free. We don’t all have to have the latest and greatest of everything.
