This is probably the same thing I say every time but the yarn I’ve ordered has almost all arrived. There’s some coming from Tanis in Canada and one last shipment from Eat, Sleep, Knit because they got in another wooly Shetland type yarn in worsted weight. I’ll tell you what I’m going to make with that one when it arrives. Both have been shipped so it shouldn’t be long til the packages of yarn no longer grace my porch and, til I no longer have to hear “You SAID you weren’t getting any more yarn!”
The yarn that arrived today was Black Friday yarn from WEBS. Even though they weren’t having a Black Friday sale, they had free shipping and with their every day discount, it made it almost the same price as the yarn I was buying on a Black Friday sale plus it was either yarn ESK didn’t have in stock or doesn’t carry.
This is Arranmore by The Fibre Co. It’s an aran weight yarn, 80% wool, 10% silk and 10% cashmere. I’ve never used it but people rave about it and it was on a closeout sale at WEBS so . . good time to try it. I intend to make Big Love with it.
Two skeins of Malabrigo Dos Tierras in Cereza. As with many Malabrigo yarns, you can see the two skeins are different. Eat, Sleep, Knit was out of this color and these skeins came from WEBS. They did advise that the two skeins were not matched but for what I’m needing, that was fine.
I will only need one skein of the Dos Tierras for a Grey Fox and the light gray and black are the other colors that will be used. The light gray and black came from ESK in their Black Friday sale.
One last yarn that arrived today . .
This is Malabrigo Washted, a worsted weight yarn. I will use it, along with Plomo (gray), to make a Carabe.
If memory serves me, and it probably does not, this is all the red/gray yarn I have coming.
Anyone believe I’ll have all these projects made by the end of 2020? 🙂

i ordered 2 hanks of the new wooly worsted from ESK because I need to make another pair of mittens and I seldom use worsted so its tough to find that in my stash. Wanted to see how wooly/scratchy it might be and figured even if it was, mittens were safe. Plus its a good price point compared to other worsteds so you might say we were bargain shopping with that yarn. 🙂

Of course you will have them all made up, I have faith in you!! LOL As for not buying yarn, it is your money and if you want to buy more yarn and it makes you happy, why not. You scrimp and save on food and you can a lot so why not enjoy the yarn! I received my makers trunk and it is more than I thought it would be! I love it. Took it to knitting Tuesday and everyone loved it. I can put all my needles, accessories and 2 skeins of yarn in the bottom with room to spare. The I put my accessories in the pull out shelves and there is still room at the top to keep what I am working on and close the lid! I think I will enjoy using it even if I did splurge and pay $150 for it. I deserve it!! LOL

How many new projects will catch your eye between now and the end of next year? That’s why I have a very hard time deciding WHICH UFOs I’m going to do ahead of time…my interest/focus changes!

At least one per day . . maybe two. My guess is . . 700. 🙂

If you knit fast enough, it will all be out of there by the end of 2025. I calculated that scientifically. LOL
