Who’s going shopping today? Heck, it’s a little after 6 a.m. here and I’m betting there are lots of people already lining up at stores. It’s going to be crazy out there. If you’re going out, please be careful.
Vince went to town on Wednesday and he said it was already crazy and he was not going back til after Christmas. I don’t believe him. Do you? First, we have enough points to get 20 cents per gallon off on gas and it expires the end of the month. Does anyone believe Vince is going to let that go? I haven’t looked at my car but I’m sure it has enough gas to get me past Christmas. I have to get a haircut a couple of days before Christmas and I’m hoping to go to MO right after Christmas so I can spend time with Addie before school starts up again so I’ll fill my car up when I go to town to get the haircut.
Vince was talking to a friend on the phone yesterday. The friend was driving through San Antonio and telling Vince how bad traffic was. Vince was telling him it was pretty bad here . . and then Vince told the friend that he was hoping not to go to town til after Christmas. I giggled . . and pretended I was coughing! 🙂
When we lived in Kentucky, we had a Target, a Sam’s, all kinds of shopping places. Vince and Chad would be up at daylight to get to the stores. They would shop for hours, go eat somewhere, go back and shop more. I stayed home and loved it!
We should have a contest to see who can guess the right number of days before Vince goes to town. I really think it will be tomorrow so he can use that discount gas coupon.

I am with you tomorrow maybe today.

I’ve never been a Black Friday shopper. I’ll stay as far away from the stores as possible for the next few days. Bob says he wouldn’t shop on Black Friday if they were handing out free money! On the other hand, I’ll be surprised if Vince makes it past tomorrow:)

I. Thinking tomorrow….I wouldn’t blame him….our gas in California is over $4.00 a gallon….I think I would be there today….especially if I needed gas….

I thought your “lining up” at 6 a.m. was late (I’ve seen so many middle-of-the-night openings), so I checked San Diego area hours, and indeed, many stores were opening at 8. At least, those that were not still open from yesterday. Many, many stores opened at 5 or 6 on Thanksgiving day! I guess that gave the workers some time with their loved ones before the onslaught. Yuck.

I agree with tomorrow.

I’m betting he goes yet today. My 17 year old went last night and again this morning. I’m betting there were some girls involved…but didnt ask. He isn’t a big shopper and to go 2x..I think that’s highly suspicious!

I am very surprised that Vince didn’t go more towards the afternoon today searching for “bargains” so my guess is that he will go tomorrow for gas & …………………………….. I have never been brave enough to go shopping on Black Friday but I purchased some necessities at great bargain prices online today!

He can’t let that gas coupon go! Friends of mine – young friends – used to go in a group and be at Target as it opened at midnight. One person would stand in line with a cart and everyone else would run here and there and get things, and trade off who was waiting in line. Then they’d go to the next store. They’d usually be done about when the sun came up and go have breakfast. There is nothing I want in this world … okay maybe I’d stand in line half the night to buy a 20-year old longarm, but nothing else! LOL
