Today Vince wants to go to town. Yay Vince . . we skipped didn’t go yesterday!
Vince: I need to get a couple of things from Home Depot.
Me: You’re going without me!
Vince: Would you go if we go to Chick-Fil-A and eat?
Me: Nope! Not going to town til after Christmas!
When he said he wanted to get a couple of things, I wanted to say “Wait! Get one thing today and go back tomorrow for the other thing! Why get two things in one day?” but I’m betting there will be a completely different need for which he has to go to town tomorrow.
So, Vince went to town without me. The only good thing about me going with him is that I can sometimes talk him out of buying stuff we don’t need. There’s no telling what he will come home with when he goes shopping by himself. He left here planning to get a couple of gas cans and another Google mini hub with light kit. Sometimes when he comes home from shopping by himself, he goes straight into the shop and that means he’s putting things in there he doesn’t want to have to discuss with me. Believe me . . I know exactly how that feels. “Hey Vince, I’m going to get the mail and then I’m going to play with Boots”, which means . . I’m going in the sewing room to hide the packages! 🙂

Sneaky? or just a genius way to avoid a heated discussion?
