The cowl for Addie’s teacher is blocked and ready to send. I love it. I’m glad I have an extra skein in these two colors. I may make one for myself. The smart thing to do would be to keep the yarn and use it for something for next year’s teacher but I really like this red and gray together.
The pattern is King & Thieves and it’s very easy to knit. My row gauge was off a bit so I added a few extra rows in the solid plain stockinette sections.
The lace repeat was very easy to memorize and hardly required any thought once I got going with it.
You can see there are red sections, gray sections, red/gray striped sections. I think it turned out great and I hope she will love it.

Gorgeous and in my high school colors. I did knit a red/gray sweater in my school colors to wear to football games and winter sports. Wore it skiing as well. I would love to start knitting again but our good knitting shop has closed and i may need some help. I have not knit in over 50 years. Living in the Palm Springs, CA desert does not call for much in the way of winter sweaters!
