For those who don’t remember the story, it was at least a year ago, maybe longer when I picked Addie up one day from day care. The radio was on in my car, she was in the back seat in her car seat. A song came on and she said “Turn it up, Granny!” so I did. She was singing . . knew every word. It was “Take a Drunk Girl Home“. I listened to the words and thought . . I don’t think that’s a song she needs to be singing. When Nicole got home, I said jokingly . . what kind of music are you letting my granddaughter listen to? She laughed and said “just the local country music station in the car!” Every time I got in my car for the two or three weeks I was there, that song came on the radio. It is a good song for singing along and even the words weren’t bad . . I guess . . at least the guy was nice, kept her safe and took her home but still . .
Anyway, the mail came today. The mail lady handed me a package from Miss Babs. I said “I don’t remember ordering anything from there!” I got back to the house and Vince was sitting in the living room. No way to sneak past him with two packages. I knew what was in the Eat, Sleep, Knit package.
I opened the package and I kinda smiled because the first thing that popped into my head was “Take a Drunk Girl Home!” I don’t drink so it wasn’t that but goodness . . just 4 days ago I ordered this yarn and I don’t remember why I ordered it or what I planned to make. Scary!
I thought maybe it was something that wasn’t available and it was a while back when I ordered it so I looked at the invoice. Nope. Ordered it November 11.
The yarn is Cashmere/Silk so it had to be for a cowl or shawl or something that isn’t going to get much abuse. Was I planning to make a three color cowl that I’ve wanted to make for a while? If so, why did I order four colors? Was I thinking about making two different two color brioche items because all of those colors go so well together that I could easily come up with two combinations that needed two colors. I just don’t know!
When I looked at the tag, it says the yarn was $42 but I only paid $33 something. Miss Babs is discontinuing the yarn . . maybe that’s why I bought it. It was on sale. Blame Vince! He taught me to do that kind of stuff!
I’m just going to add it to the spreadsheet and stick it in the Miss Babs tub and maybe some day it will come to me.

This is too funny!! I have some yarn I bought years ago but I don’t think there is enough to make anything out of it! LOL

That blue would be pretty with denim. If you had enough to make something, or end a sweater with it – though I suppose that’s your starting end, isn’t it?

I do this with recipes. I purchase the required items and then it is now what was I going to make with this odd item that I normally do not purchase. The problem being I read too many recipes.
