Yesterday we went to town. I’m not even sure what the original reason was for going but I still had not gotten a frame for Addie’s school picture and frames were 50% off at Hobby Lobby so I wanted to stop by there and then we ran by United Grocery to see if they had any of the pumpkin pasta sauce left. They didn’t but we walked by the meat mark down section and found quite a bargain!
Grassfed boneless leg of lamb!
Regular $34.97 and marked down to $12.58. That is a super bargain. I’m going to cook it in the oven, then wrap it in foil and put it in the slow cooker. I did that with a roast the other day and it was really good. It had all the flavors after being roasted with herbs, and then it was tender and juicy from cooking in the slow cooker with nothing but its own juices.
We’ll probably get at least five meals out of that $12.58 piece of meat. Can’t eat out for that price for sure and even if we could eat out for the same price, it wouldn’t be nearly as tasty. And, eating at home, I don’t even have to put on decent clothes! That’s the best part!

LOL, I know about the clothes. I like living in sweats this time of year, but I don’t want to wear them outside the house … well, further than the garbage can or mail box, anyway. I’m happy not to go anywhere for days, if I get the chance. That is a super bargain!
