I don’t even know how I came across it but yesterday I came across a magazine, The Knitter, and it’s a British publication and it is amazing. There are various ways to subscribe but, oh, my goodness, it is a pain to try to get any of the patterns into Knit Companion. Nothing I have done has worked right.
I sat down and looked at one issue (#130) and found about five things I’d love to make.
If you’re a knitter and want to see some new and interesting designs, figure out how to browse through a couple of them.
Vince wrote to them last night because after about 4 hours of attempting to get a pattern into KC, he tried to help but he knows less about IOS than I do so it was even more frustrating for him.
IF they write back and there’s a way to get those patterns into KC, or even a way to print them in some fashion where the charts could be enlarged, I’ll be back with a glowing recommendation for this magazine.

I am making a cardigan from one of the magazines I bought here in town It has scalloped edges, and a shell to match. I am going to make the shell also.

I hope you figure it out, since it seems like it’s worth the money, if there are 5 patterns in it. I usually figure if there are two in a quilt book that I’d make, it’s worth buying.

I have taken a picture of the pages I need and added those to KC. I’ve also scanned and saved as a PDF… and if you can copy and paste from the magazine you can put into another document and then save as a PDF.
