We’re not going to discuss exactly which yarns or how much are arriving but yesterday a couple of parcels arrived. Sometimes they’re small – just a couple of skeins of yarn; sometimes they’re larger.
At one point they had “mystery” skeins or Lucky Dips or something they were calling them. You could choose the base you wanted but not the color. Since I’ve never met a Madelinetosh color I didn’t love, I ordered a few of a few. How’s that for evasive?
This was a group of 10 mystery colors in Twist Light. The minute I opened the package, before ever removing the yarn, I saw my beloved Mac & Cheese – the bright yellowish one. That made me happy. I love all these colors. Twist Light works for colorwork in a fingering weight sweater, socks, shawls. Vince said “What will you do with that one skein of bright yellow yarn?” I told him . . put it on the dresser and cherish it forever! That color makes me smile. Even if I stick it in my Twist Light tub of yarn and see it every now and then, it will make me smile when I see it and it will be so worth having.

That was the first one that jumped out at me! This is a bright, smile inducing color!

Those are really pretty colors. They don’t look like something awful, which is what I expect for mystery buys. Not that I ever do any mystery buys! That solid brown and the variegated would look pretty together, too. Too bad the gray and red aren’t the school colors. LOL
