This evening we were sitting . . Vince reading and me playing with The Knitter magazine. He looked up and said “Look at the sky” and we both went out.
It’s hard to tell but the weeds in the orchard were golden. It looked almost like a field of golden grains but . . it’s grass burs and other weeds!
Vince said “I never want to live where I can’t have a beautiful view!” Well, let’s just add one more thing to that list of why we can never move away from here! 🙂
Today we were somewhere! I’m not going to say where because it was a business and I don’t want anyone to get in trouble because she was just being honest. The subject of Missouri came up and it wasn’t even me bringing it up and whining about why I wanted to move there.
She: Missouri is a nasty place!
Me: Don’t say that!
Vince: She wants to move there. Can you believe it?
She: You’d leave here and move there?
Me: My granddaughter lives there.
She: Missouri is just nasty.

She wasn’t being mean . . she was just stating her opinion and I’m sure she had no idea I had such a connection to Missouri. Actually, when we left there, I had no idea at all that we’d ever go back .. and we aren’t back yet!
