Yesterday I cast on for a Hitofude to do it along with some friends.
As I was looking for a pattern in my Dropbox files, and I couldn’t remember the name of it, I ran across a pattern for a pullover I could make for Vince. He prefers pullovers but I think cardigans are better here where it never gets very cold, but . . his choice is a pullover. I already had yarn for a sweater for him but I think he’d like this one better so I thought . . if I start this NOW, I might could get it done before Christmas. I can sit and work on it right in front of him and he’ll never ask what I’m working on.
I want to make a brioche shawl and I have several patterns that I think are so pretty but I don’t know how to do brioche. Everyone who knows how to do it told me to make a simple cowl first – something round with no increases or decreases. I have several patterns that will work.
I have the cowl to make for Addie’s teacher.
I had pulled these three yarns to send a picture to a friend who’s wanting to make a DK weight shawl. The bottom orange one is Malabrigo Dos Tierras which is DK but seems thin to me. The middle one, much thicker looking, is Malabrigo Arroyas, which is sport weight; and the top one is Blue Sky’s Woolstok, which is DK and I love that yarn!
As I looked at the picture, I thought . . I love those three colors together. What could I make that’s lime green, gray and orange? Then, I heard myself say “I can’t do EVERYTHING!” I had to giggle. Where did that come from? I’ve never heard myself think such foolishness before! 🙂

You are very ambitious! 🙂 I saw a saying somewhere that said, “You can do anything, but you can’t do everything”. When it comes to knitting, maybe you can do everything…as long as you have enough time. Lately, I knit way too slowly to do everything.

Check out the Terzetto pattern… or did you introduce that one to me?! 🙂

Don’t be silly, of course you can!

That cracked me up. I’m thinking, “Judy already has a list of things to make, and she’s adding more?” Of course, quilters don’t understand that thinking AT ALL!
