I have always been the worst about starting new projects before previous projects are finished. You know that about me . . I did it with quilting and I think it’s worse with my knitting. I’ve come to terms with it and it doesn’t even really bother me. If you glance at my sidebar, you’ll see I’ve finished a lot of things this year and I have several that need to be added to that list. There are a few old projects that were finished but many of them were new.
Since I love lists and tracking things, and since I’ve tried to come up with a way to keep myself on track, I think I’m going to try doing some evening posts with my projects for the week, tracking what I’m working on, progress I’ve made since last week, what I’m planning to work on. Once I pull out an old project and start working on it it will be in the “older projects” section for that week but so long as I keep working on it, I’ll keep it in the Works in Progress section. This plan will probably evolve through the weeks.
If I see that it helps me, I’ll continue but if it becomes more trouble that I find it to be worth, or if I dread making the posts, I’ll stop. You never know what will work til you try it so it doesn’t bother me to say “I’m going to do this”, then later, if it isn’t working for me, stop doing it.
The weekly summary will end up being a recap of what I’ve done in the past week so some, maybe all, of it will be something you’ve probably already seen. These summaries are mostly to keep me on track but I’m happy to share them and hopefully it will inspire readers to get on track and stay on target with projects. Heck, it might even help me! 🙂
This report will not include every project I have started – just the ones I’ve actively worked on within the past week or plan to work on in the upcoming week. Maybe by this time next year, there will be fewer UFOs.
The hardest part for me is to stop what I’m doing and take pictures but at least it’s easier now to get them uploaded with the faster internet.
This might also be a good thing to do with the videos that I had tried to do earlier but due to bandwidth limitations, couldn’t get them to load. I’m thinking I should be able to load those videos now. We’ll see.
So, tonight I’ll have my first report.
Note: I will not link to patterns. I will put the name of the pattern in bold.

I’m looking for your post about the circular needles that you prefer. I am an occasional knitter, and have a project to knit for a family member, using alpaca yarn from her herd of alpacas. I need to buy 2 large circular needles, and was thinking I might buy a kit of various sizes and lengths, and seem to remember you discussing various brands with pros and cons.
Sorry to be a bother…..

I see nothing wrong with the way you work.

What you do works for you, and that’s what counts. I don’t see anything wrong with it.
