There’s a two yarn cowl I was thinking about making for Addie’s teacher. The suggested yarn is sport weight. I have very little sport weight. I’ve spent way too much time on this. I had hoped to get started on this last night but still haven’t decided on a yarn. This is when I would buy yarn except I’m committed to use what I have.
Here are some of the options:
This is probably the yarn I should have chosen and didn’t wind it so I still may decide to use this one. It’s Sanguine Gryphone’s Bugga and it’s a discontinued yarn.
These two are a great match. I went to wind them; wound the lighter one, Bugga, first, then realized the darker one was Traveller, a much heavier weight yarn. That meant I couldn’t use those two together.
These two match pretty good but the one on the right, the pinker one is Madelinetosh Pashmina and it’s close in weight but I’m not sure it’s a great match as far as the two different weights.
These two are both Dream in Color Smooshy, which is classed as a fingering weight yarn but it’s exactly the same content and, pretty much exactly the same comparable yards per gram as the Bugga.
I really don’t know which group I’ll choose or if I’ll keep looking through the stash.

Very different choices although they are all pretty. What kinds of colors does she normally wear or what kind of coloring does she have? That first set of colors are very rich but would look awful on a lot of people, depending on skin tones and hair color. One of the combinations with the reddish/pink might be a safer choice.

I love the gold shades in the first two yarns. So luxurious looking!

I like all the combinations but the last one has colors that would be good for Fall, Winter & Spring.

I like the dream in color myself. Think they will go good together
