This morning as Addie and I started to leave the room to go to breakfast, I noticed the sunrise, grabbed the phone to snap a picture.
I hope Addie learns to appreciate the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets at a much younger age than I did.
Their area of MO seems to have some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.

Gorgeous! I love watching sunsets. I miss sunrises as I can’t see them from my house and I am not a morning person!!!!

My 4.5 year old grandson loves sunrises, although he calls them sunsets :). I love it when he wakes up a bit earlier than the sunrise and crawls into our bed, snuggles for a bit, then asks when the sun is going to come up. If we have a few minutes, we talk about what the day will bring and then go out to watch the sun rise. I don’t think his parents appreciate it, but that is what is so special about being a grandparent. You have time and energy to share some of the stuff you didn’t have time for when you are raising your child/children.

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday I was up early getting grandkids off to school and saw some pretty sunrises. The first morning was especially pretty and I made sure the kids (kindergarteners) saw it. By Wednesday morning they were looking for the sunrise all by themselves and commenting on it. It was like they had never seen a sunrise before!

With the help of the adults around her, I expect she will. =)
