Fern & Feather is a sweater I mentioned the other day. I had wanted to get the colorwork yoke done, and get the sleeves separated off so all I have to do is knit . . no counting unless I decide to do waist shaping and that’s not much counting.
This evening, I got to that point.
I’m not real sure I have enough of the blue yarn. This is yarn I bought in January, 2018 and it’s a discontinued yarn. The pattern says I need 1070 yards of the blue and I have 1,314 yards but that still makes me nervous but, I guess I kinda always get nervous that I’m going to run out of yarn when I know I can’t get more. The lighter yarn for the colorwork – the pattern says I need 130 yards and I have 438 yards so towards the end, if I feel like I’m going to run short, I’ll add a bit of lighter stripes around the bottom and the sleeves before doing the ribbing.
Now, all I have to do is knit and figure out what to do about striping or not striping so this one goes into a knitting bag and goes on my trip with me.

What a pretty one, and the colorwork doesn’t look as if it was extensive and hard work to do.

That is going to be so pretty! Have you thought of doing the lighter blue then white cuffs and bottom? I am not sure about the white cuffs, but it might work. Or maybe blue and white stripes?
