The blocking of project is the least fun part of knitting for me. There’s a yarn shop down in Austin, and probably lots of other places too, and for a fee, they will soak and block your projects. If I lived near one of those places, for some of the projects, I’d be inclined to pay the fee, which I have no idea what it is, and let someone else have the joy of blocking.
It’s mostly the blocking wires I don’t like. This project needed sires – six of them!
I usually do my blocking on the double bed because no one ever sleeps in there so I leave my mats set up. This wrap was too long for even the queen size bed!
Once it’s dry, I’ll take a final picture and share it here.
I do have another Advent kit from last year but it’s in “classic” colors, which probably means more reds and greens. I haven’t even looked at it.

Where did you use the wires? Along the edges? Did not know about them.
Judy Laquidara says
Yes, I ran the wires along the long edges.

That is SO pretty!
Judy Laquidara says
Thanks! It was fun to make.

It’s definitely a beauty. I like the diagonals going in both directions.

Well I am working on a knitted knocker!! I don’t know how good I am going to be insane by the time I get this finished! I have a bad enough time with 2 needles much less 4!!

Blocking may be a pain, but it’s so worth it…that turned out gorgeous!!!
