I’m really not making fun but it’s just funny. I have no idea how to work most of Vince’s power tools. I don’t know how to change the battery in my car. There are a lot of things I should know how to do and I don’t but I think it’s funny that Vince likes to eat as much as he does but he has no clue how to cook.
When he was working on the stove, he pulled out the bottom drawer and found one of Speck’s old toys and a “muffin thing”.
Vince: Here’s a muffin thing. Have you been looking for that?
Me: A muffin thing?
Vince: Yes, did you know it was missing?
Me: I’m not sure what a muffin thing is but I don’t think I was missing it.
Then he pulls out a pot holder.
Me: That’s a pot holder!
Vince: But you use it to get muffins out of the oven.
Oh, my goodness . . a muffin thing! 🙂
Today he wanted to put something in the oven. He walked into the kitchen. I heard him say “Bake. 350. Start. Yay! I learned how to work the oven!”
There’s hope. Another 8 – 10 years and he may learn to work the dishwasher, washer and dryer!
Then, he walked into the living room . .
Vince: Can you measure 10 minutes?
Me: How do I measure 10 minutes?
Vince: On your phone!
Me: Set the timer for 10 minutes?
Vince: Yes. That’s what I said!
Not really . . but ok.

My husband has all of a sudden (after 30 years of me cooking) has decided that he can cook. Oh my goodness, the mess! He had no idea that we had an exhaust hood. Haha!

It’s a Georgia Tech thing. We, at Coca-Cola, call it the North Avenue Trade School.

We definitely speak different languages, don’t we? LOL But he can use the grill and smoker, and I was always happy to have Paul do that … or all the cooking. He was more efficient and it tasted better. =)

Measure 10 minutes. That is funny. I think he just does it to make you think he doesn’t know how to do those things. 😉
