Vince found some kind of vinyl coated line in the shop that was a good bit thicker (wire and vinyl parts) than the green line we had been using. He only had enough for one line so I asked him to put that up, and put up a new, unstretched green line and let’s compare for a few days before he orders more of the gray thicker line.
Yesterday I hung towels, about five on each line. The green line sagged and I had to re-hang the towels twice to keep them off the ground. This morning, he unhooked one end of the green line, restretched it, hooked it back and I hung T-shirts on it.
They are not very heavy and you can see the green line is sagging and the gray line in the back barely has any sag to it. That’s about how it did with the heavier towels yesterday.
I think the gray line will work. I wish my problems were all so easily solved. Wait . . I hardly have any problems to be solved! 🙂

what about those pole thingies, we used to use them to move the line higher

I think those are ugly! I’ve had line for years that didn’t sag so that’s all I want – non-sagging line. 🙂

It’s been years since I had a clothesline. At least 30, maybe more. I like the fresh softness of my dryer. LOL And not hanging out in the humidity and birds and things that fly off the trees and make my skin itch.
