I do not like fiddly things. I detest fiddly things. That’s why the unicorn sweater is still not finished – only fiddly things remain to be done.
Yesterday Sheri at The Loopy Ewe sent out an email with her Monday update and shared this owl and info about the book, Knitted Animal Friends. My first thought was “that is so fiddly” but then my second thought was “I have to have this book and this owl!”
The picture she shows is Louis the Owl and I love him!
My high school mascot is a Ram so I might have to make him too – in orange and black! 🙂
I had to order the book because . . well, because I love him and because I just ordered Addie some new clothes and a pair of shoes from Old Navy and look at them!
And these shoes . .
That shirt and those shoes go so perfectly with Louis the Owl but I’m quite sure Addie will have outgrown it all before I get around to making that fiddly owl but . . I did order the book.
It’s Knitted Animal Friends by Louise Crowther. Whether I ever make anything out of the book or not, it is going to make me happy to have it on my bedside table so it will be a good investment!

I bought it too. I’ve never enjoyed making little fussy things – socks are about as little as I want to get but those little critters are so doggone cute! I couldn’t resist.

I don’t even knit and I want that book! So cute!

It’s hard to make an animal like a ram look cute but the one in the book is adorable! I know there’s a good chance that Chad & Nicole might move but if you knew what the mascot is for Addie’s grade school or Jr. High school, maybe you could knit that particular animal (if it is an animal) as a school keepsake.

I love those shoes and the clothes too! She is going to love them! I have a book of animals also. You are welcome to borrow it any time you think you might need to do one!! LOL

Such a cute book! Do you know of a knitted rabbit (she had a name) and friends? This book made me think of that one and now I can’t find it online. I might just get both; I’ve been wanting the other one, which also has a companion book with clothes.

I do not do fiddly in quilts. I do not make little animals and dolls. The grandchildren I don’t have would never care if I did have them. =)
