This afternoon, I was really tired. I was up way early this morning .. not even sure why . . probably that sweater calling to be finished. I got up as quietly as I could so as not to awaken Vince but, of course, I did wake him so we both needed naps this afternoon.
The minute I woke up from my nap, I grabbed the button container and started looking through buttons. Buttons can get expensive so I don’t have as many of those as I do ribbons. I would love to have a huge selection of buttons but my plan is to find yarn to go with the buttons I do have, and then I can order more buttons . . just to have a small stash of buttons, or, if I want to make a sweater and don’t have the buttons, once I get to the point of needing buttons, I’ll order them. You know how most of my plans go!
The yarn is Malabrigo Rios and the color is Reflecting Pool. I so wanted to use these little bluebird buttons but I think they’re better suited for fingering weight, or maybe sport weight yarn.
Back to the button box for more digging.
I like this one but . . I think I love the bottom one.
I don’t have a clue what pattern I’m going to use but I have to finish:
- Unicorn sweater
- Blue Sand
- Gift for a friend
- All of the Lights that Karen and I are starting October 1.
So, there’s probably no rush on deciding on a pattern for the Reflecting Pool yarn, right?

Hahahaha! Oh come on, if you feel like making plans for another sweater, make plans. But be careful to keep a record of your plans so you can follow the plan when you are ready for it. Those blue buttons are so Fancy! Just Gorgeous! You might rub some of the shine off them from so much handling…

Excellent taste in buttons as usual! The birds – that’s one button design I’ve been waiting to order until I decide what I want to use them on. And the bottom button – perfect choice for that yarn – that is the button design that I love in all the colors it comes in. I might have placed an order last night to add to my button stash.

Both buttons are pretty ones, and look nice with the yarn. You’ll figure out a pattern by the time you need one.
