I went outside this evening to finish up what needed finishing up outside.
I poked my head back in the door and told Vince the cover on his pickup bed was open and it looked like it was going to rain. He came out and said . . no, it’s just getting dark.
I told him . . I think it’s going to rain!
He came out and closed up the pickup. Then we were sitting inside watching football and I said “turn down the volume!” He did and we could hear rain on the metal roof.
That is not photo manipulation (or it wouldn’t be blurry!) . . that’s exactly the color as it was getting dark.
It was so pretty. We probably got .001″ of rain. It wasn’t even enough to drip off the trees but it smelled like rain for a few minutes and that was enough to give me hope that some day . . it’s going to rain again here.

I hear you! At least you smelled rain. My plants are dying. My grass is crispy. I cannot water enough to keep everything thriving. Big change from last year when we had so much rain, the farmers couldn’t get in the field to pick the cotton until October.

What a beautifully colored sky!

Gorgeous Texas skies! I’m glad you got to hear and smell it, even if it wasn’t much. I hope there will soon be a good LONG drizzle, not a gully washer.

We went to the grocery store at around 6 and there was the most beautiful rainbow in the Northeast. And I know it rained in that direction. But nothing here.
