Addie’s hair tangles like no hair I’ve ever seen. I thought for years, it was the baby fine hair but now that her hair is more like grown up hair, it still tangles. Nicole said her hair does the same thing.
Trying to comb or brush her hair is impossible. She whines and jumps around .. and a lot of it is pure drama but I do know she gets some horrible tangles. Nicole has tried various products recommended by her hair expert, she’s tried different brushes and combs designed for tangles. Nothing has worked well.
The other day I was trying to comb her hair and I said . . there has to be a better way. I got online and found this brush. At first, I thought it was a brush for pets but Addie assured me it was for kids.
The brush part is on the bottom and I think it actually comes apart from the stuffed animal part.
Whether it’s because it’s new, or because it’s a unicorn, I cannot say . . but she loves it and she totally brushed her hair to be completely tangle free after taking her shower.
For anyone fighting with a kid over tangles, this is worth a try.

That’s fantastic if she’ll keep up with it. I’ve only had success with Johnson’s no more tangles spray. Glad you’re having a nice time!

Nicole is going to love you!

I hope she already does! 🙂
I know what you’re saying.

Does the brush appear to be any different from dozens of others? It just looks like a brush from here in Tennessee – with a unicorn handle. LOL

She had a new brush her mom bought and I could feel it pulling her hair so I bought another one when we were in Joplin but it didn’t work either. That’s when, out of desperation, I checked Amazon and found the unicorn brush. She went to bed brushing her hair last night so she had no complaints. Whether it’s real or imagined, she said it doesn’t pull and that made it a breeze getting her hair brushed this morning. It does look like the brushes we already tried but, for whatever reason, it seems to work for her so I’m happy!

Cute, glad she likes it & it’s working! I think it’s all about no handle on the brush though. My girls and I are all tender-headed and using a palm held brush is much more comfortable. I used to literally break the handle off their brushes when they were little, lol.

totally understand! and believe me when my kids were younger and the chlorine affects on the summer blonds! YUCK. Know my hair is naturally curly, and people (family friends hairdresser ) w straight hair always try to comb/brush from the part down…. you really have to brush/comb that tangly curly hair from the bottom, then move up…. otherwise the tangles just never come out…. Poor baby. I do understand for all of you.

Just in case someone hasn’t heard of, or tried this brush, try a Wet Brush. That will be what it is called. They are available most places and don’t cost a lot. They can be used on wet or dry hair.

I’ll second that recommendation, I use them for people and pets, separately of course LOL.
Judy Laquidara says
We’ve tried that too. In fact, I liked it and got one for me but Addie didn’t like it – she said it pulls so that was another fail for her hair.

I just sent you a pic for a hair detangler that came highly recommended by my cousin. Thought you might be interested.
Judy Laquidara says
Thanks. I’ll show it to Nicole.

Mane and Tail also makes a spray for tangles. It works for my dogs!
