Here’s the reason why I bring a lot of projects!
Projects 3 and 4 – the gray pullover V-neck and the white one . . those were the ones I wanted to work on first. I figured I’d finish one of those by the end of the weekend. Also, I was going to use the needle when I finished it to add the collar to Project #5 – the Comfort Fade Cardi.
As I was packing the car yesterday morning, I grabbed up all my knitting bags that were not already in the car but my hands were full and I couldn’t carry the last one so I planned to get it the next trip out to the car.
I was about two hours from home when it dawned on me that I never picked up that bag. It was the bag with the gray and white sweaters! I called Vince and asked him if he would mail me that bag. Of course, his first question was “how much will that cost?” I told him it should be about $12 to mail it. He was a sweetheart and took it to the post office and mailed it but it was $20 to mail it and he was not happy.
Vince commented on my Facebook post about my trip and his friend commented to Vince’s comment: Did she forget anything Important???
I responded: Somehow, I bet you already know the answer to that question!
I called Vince and said “Did you already tell Steve about the bag of yarn I forgot?” Yep! I’m sure he was ranting and raving about having to spend $20 to mail me that box of yarn. It will be interesting to see what else was in that bag that must have made it heavy enough to cost $20 to mail or maybe he thought I needed it tomorrow and he sent it overnight. I have no idea.
Last night I was so tired after driving that I didn’t touch any knitting. Hopefully I’ll get in some knitting time today.

You’re lucky it wasn’t something that was a matter of life and death!! We went on vacation several years ago and before we left my husband was trying to get the kids moving, hurrying us all, trying to get out of the house early…of course I had to not only get my things, but also had to get the thermos of coffee, snacks for the kids, drinks and my own breakfast, since in the rush, I hadn’t had time to eat… By the time we made it to my parent’s home, 10 hours later, I realized I’d left my bathroom bag, where I’d stashed ALL the cash for the trip, PLUS my grandson’s bathroom supplies.!!! Of course it was all my fault…it always is. Luckily I was able to write out a check to my dad, who went to their bank and cashed it and gave me the cash. It was then easy enough to just take the cash back to the bank when we got home. We did, however, have to find a store to replace the bathroom supplies that had been left at home…. Never a dull moment!! Enjoy that granddaughter!!! (And the rest of the family!!) ?
