This is the test knit for Laura Aylor. The knitting is done. The ends are woven in. I had planned to soak it and get it on the blocking mats tonight but I think I’ll wait til tomorrow.
It will look totally different after blocking. This is probably going to be a sweater I wear all Fall and Winter. I love it. It’s so comfortable. I love the 3/4 sleeves.
I initially ordered 10 skeins of yarn and after having to make a second swatch, I was afraid I’d run short so I ordered 2 more skeins. I used a bit over 7 skeins so I have close to 5 skeins left. Do I order a few more and have enough to make another sweater? Do I stick the 5 skeins back in my stash? Decisions!
The funny thing is that when I looked at Facebook this morning, my memory was another Laura Aylor sweater I finished on this exact date four years ago.
That is Lakehouse and it’s still one of my favorite sweaters.

Love the Lakehouse sweater!

And both sweaters are beautiful! I say order another 2-3 skeins and make another sweater! What are you going to do with 5 skeins anyway? I have several duplicates of favorite shirts or shoes in my closet. If one is good, two are better. =)

Order more and make your daughter-in-law the same sweater!
Mary says
or Maybe you could make ME the same sweater! I love it!

Turned out lovely. If it were me, I’d order a coordinating color and make a color blocked or sweater with stripes so you don’t have to match the same color.

I may do that but I ordered the yarn from The Loopy Ewe and I think it’s what they still have in stock since it was just a few weeks ago that I got it. If I don’t order more soon, I’ll take your suggestion and plan something with stripes and get a totally different color.

I love them both. Can you wear them together? I can’t tell if the colors compliment each other or not.
Judy Laquidara says
No . . it’s two different companies. The colors are close but not that close.
