You’ve probably heard me talk about the big sock I made for Vince. Well . . here it is compared to one of my own socks.
I hadn’t been knitting socks long so this happened probably in 2007 or 2008. I looked at Vince’s feet, I looked at my feet. I didn’t have a pattern so I just added what I thought needed to be added in order to fit him.
It’s been an ongoing joke around here. The sock is always ready for him to find so he can show it to friends about the ONE sock I made for him . . which isn’t true because I’ve made him two pairs of socks and he’s never worn either pair . . not a single time!
I thought about ripping it out and re-using the yarn but I think it has more value leaving it the way it is. Did I ever show you the sock Judy made for me?

It gives Vince a funny story to tell. It’s harmless. It is a big sock. =)

Vince could hang it on the fireplace for Santa to fill. Though it might be big it is very nice looking.
Tell Vince than in your down sizing, getting ready for a move, the sock might have to go, along with his other pairs.

It would probably be good as a dusting mitt! LOL

In your defense, men do tend to have bigger feet…maybe not quite that big, though. LOL (maybe you were knitting for a professional basketball player…) 🙂

Yes, that should be kept, for amusement value AND to see how far you’ve come. Pretty funny!

Well you saw the first one I did and how big it was. I even used a pattern!! I think he should put it on the mantle at Christmas and use it for a Christmas stocking. He might get a lump of coal in it!! LOL
