Addie’s Meal Planning

Nicole called yesterday and said they had gone to Aldi on Sunday and bought a ton of groceries but she had to go back to the grocery store yesterday because Addie found a recipe she wanted to make. 🙂

They bought a book case or bookshelves and organized their books. Addie has a section for her books and while going through them, she found a Mickey Mouse cookbook I had given her. I think it was one we bought at Disney World when Chad was about her age.

Nicole said Addie went through me, had Nicole read the ingredients to her and she chose one she wanted to make for dinner. I think Nicole said it was called “California Chicken”.

After Nicole bought the needed ingredients, a friend asked Addie to go to the drive in movie and spend the night. Nicole had already told her they could go to the Y to swim before gymnastics so . . with all the activity, Addie’s meal had to get moved til today.

I think that’s funny . . she found a recipe she wanted to make, her mom bought all the ingredients, then Addie got a better offer and forgot about cooking. She thinks like I think . . if something better comes along, grab a sandwich and save the cooking for another day!
