How many of you go back and read comments left after you’ve left a comment?
The reason I’m asking . . I always intend to respond to each of your comments via email but often I’m reading them on the phone or tablet and I plan to respond, by sending you an email, when I get back to my computer and then I forget so . . you never get a response and that’s kinda rude of me.
The “notify me” options shown above are at the bottom of the comment box. I’m not sure if you want to check the notify me of new comments via email or not – that probably means you’d get all the new comments, as well as my responses to comments.
It’s easier for me to respond to your comment as another comment and I’m more likely to remember to do that. So, hopefully you don’t mind. The problem is that when I leave comments on other blogs, I never remember . . even if I had a question! Hopefully, you all remember better than I do.
If I see a comment that I feel really needs a personal response, I will send that back in email but for the most part, at least for the next couple of months, if no one objects, I’m going to respond to comments in a comment.
No objections here. And I often look at comments whether I left one or not.
I like answers in comments, too.
I don’t usually go back to see a response. I used to tic the box for comments but would get all comments so I stopped doing that on most blogs. On yours I can do that.
Good idea! It will be nice to see the answers to other folks’ questions.

Sounds good to me!
I like to read the comments and your responses.
I also REALLY appreciate when you reply to me. I often wonder how you have the time to respond, you always seem so busy.
I don’t read any other blogs regularly. I have always enjoyed your through your many moves, your quilting days and Vince’s postings.
Thanks for being YOU.
I check the first box . But I like getting an email from you also.

You know you’ll always get emails from me, even if they have nothing to do with blog comments! 🙂
That ? Was supposed to be a big smiley face
I actually prefer this. It drives me crazy to visit a blog and multiple people have asked the same question but it doesn’t appear to get answered. I appreciate that people take the time to blog, and it seems unreasonable to respond to each and every comment with an email.

Do it the way you want. I don’t expect a reply to every comment. It’s nice if I asked a question, but not necessary otherwise.

Whenever I leave a comment on someone’s blog I always check the box to notify me of new comments so I can read the author’s response. I like that you respond in the comments–it seems more personal because you’re responding to the person and then any other reader can follow the conversation as well.
I agree with leaving an answer in a comment. It’s very easy to understand the conversation thread then.

No objections here.
I like it when you respond to a comment especially if it is a question we would all need the answer. It is like we are having an open conversation.
I almost never go back! WordPress usually sends me a notification when someone replies to my comment on a blog, though – at least on WordPress blogs.
