Yesterday while organizing my yarn . . you can probably count on weeks and weeks of posts about yarn enthusiasm as I go through this re-organization phase . . but as I was emptying one tote, I came across this bag of yarn that definitely went into the “deserted island trip” bucket.
The color in the photo isn’t totally accurate but this really a pretty shade of my favorite color. It’s Dream in Color Classy (the original formula because there is a new variety of this yarn) and the color is Chameleon. This was ordered in March, 2014. I think it’s time it was used! There are 7 skeins, or 1,750 yards. Finding a pattern will be a project for another day.
As I was thinking of how much I love that color, I remembered other favorite projects I’ve made using a similar shade of green.
This sweater was a test knit for Laura Aylor and is probably my favorite cardigan. Love the cables, love the color, love the wide front ribbed panels. I wear this cardigan probably more than any of my other projects.
This is also a favorite. Same yarn, same color as the cardigan.
This one is a little brighter but it’s a fun shawl too. It’s bigger and a bit heavier than the one shown above.
Of course, there are multiple pairs of crazy green socks.
Probably, if I went back through all my projects, there would be as many pink or blue projects, maybe a few red and purple projects too but green is definitely a color I love.
I found this “discussion” about green. The colors I seem drawn to are lime, c chartreuse, pear and parakeet, though I’m happy with all of them but I love most all colors that are bright and happy.

Green has always been my favorite color – any shade from poison green to dark forest, I’m in love! Last month’s UFO was lime green and raspberry blocks. =) I can see why you love that cardigan. I would, too!

Thanks for the “discussion” of green! I have long considered green a neutral! ! ! Each item you show is lovely.
