Slowly, I’m knitting on a test knit – it’s a pullover sweater for Laura Aylor.
It’s a much prettier, brighter green than this photo appears. It has a twisted purl stitch panel down the front. It would be a quick and easy knit if not for my bum finger but I’m plugging along. I think the deadline is August 16 and I shouldn’t have any trouble finishing well before that time.
My plan had been to have the sleeves separated off by this morning but, obviously, that didn’t happen. I still think I can get it done by this afternoon and then the rest of this should go fairly quickly. I’m going to go out on a limb . . because I love setting unreasonable goals for myself, and it never bothers me that I don’t meet the goals . . and hope to have the body of this sweater bound off by Friday and work on the sleeves over the weekend.

Have you tried putting household ammonia on a cotton pad and holding that on your thumb? I know it draws out bee and wasp stings. Maybe that would help with the pain??
