Why do I do the things I do? I ask myself that question a million times a day. It would make me feel better if you could tell me, honestly, that you do the same things. I have a test knit to get done, I need to be knitting on it . . slowly, not rushing, not stressing the finger. Ideally, I’d knit for half an hour, take a 15 minute break, knit for half an hour, take a 15 minute break. Nope, I’ve spent almost three solid hours looking at yarn!
First, a few skeins of yarn arrived today. it was yarn I had ordered that first day from The Plucky Knitter. I didn’t realize when I ordered it that some was ready to be shipped and some had to be dyed so . . what had to be dyed arrived today. Gorgeous yarn!
That sent me to The Plucky Knitter’s Instagram page to see what they’ve been making. That brought me to a picture of their Frostline pattern. By the way, the pattern link is to Love Crafts and their patterns, or at least the ones I’ve seen, are a bit less expensive than the ones I’ve been buying from “the other place”. I’m not sure how long before it expires but they sent me a coupon to share with anyone who wants the pattern . . not even sure if it’s good for more than one use but anyone who wants it, send me an email and I’ll send you the coupon – 15% off your FIRST order with them – email Judy.
Once I ordered the pattern, I needed yarn so I went to my current go to yarn shop – Miss Babs.
I chose a Yowza kit to get started. This one is Nightshift Spring kit. There were several others I liked too. There are 200 yards in each color but one color needs 200 yards and since I’m a bit of a loose knitter, I felt I should get a bit more yarn so I ordered an extra mini skein of Hops, which is the third from the left (darker green).
The lighter green (second from left) is going to be the color I use between the rows. I needed another color because I need 6 colors, then the color in between (the lighter green) and another color for the edge lace.
For the extra color, I ordered Cuban Plaza.
For the dark lace edging, I ordered Coal.
And here’s how they all should look together.
I think this will be so refreshing to wear during winter and I might just start on it soon or, knowing how I do things, I may not! 🙂

The yarns are definitely wonderful colors and go together beautifully. I think they’ll be great in that pattern, which seemed very reasonably priced to me!
