Last night one of Chad’s friends posted something on Facebook about a boat he and Chad made. Someone said “If there are no pictures, it didn’t happen.” The friend said “That was back before we all had cameras on our phones so there are no pictures.” I thought . . don’t be too sure because this mom took pictures of everything. I went back searching through old blog posts and could not find that boat. Chad did make a boat every summer and this one had to be the funniest one.
He built hat in Vince’s shop and it was the boat he was going to use for duck hunting and I’m sure he did use it. He and some of his friends even went down to the local lake. launched it and rode around in it for a while. What a sight!
Then I came across this picture of Chad and Nicole taken before we ever left Missouri.
They were mere kids! But they were sure cute kids!
Little Addie sitting being very still with a baby chicken on her knee.
Goodness . . all these things seem like yesterday. I miss the people they all were in these pictures but I love the people they are today. Time marches on. Thank goodness for pictures!

Amen! When we were first married (70’s) Bill always used slide film. We hadn’t seen some of those pictures since the 80’s! Several years ago I got him a gadget to convert slides to digital prints. What fun, looking back on all those memories!!

What wonderful memories. That boat made me smile, but I bet it fooled a few ducks!
