Yesterday as I was digging through the stash, I realized I need to wind up some yarn for socks. I can grab needles and sock yarn and make a pair of socks without even having a pattern. I try to keep several skeins of sock yarn wound and ready to go but I had about used up all that I had ready so I started winding. I intended to wind enough for four pair but I ended up winding enough for 8 pair and if I’m making short socks, I can probably make more than 8 pairs.
Some sock yarn is really soft and fluffy and some is more like “thread”. Addie likes the soft, fluffy kind. I prefer the thready kind because I feel like it holds up better. I tried to find some that’s soft and fluffy for her socks but I think she also likes colors so the color may be as important to her as the softness.
Some of this yarn has been in my stash for probably 10+ years so it will be nice to knit some of this into socks that will keep her toes warm this coming winter.

While I know you love making socks for Addie and yourself, if you ever have the urge to treat your Okie friend feel free to do so.

You are such a good grandmother! But she does need to keep her feet warm and dry this winter!
