I’ve never lived where there’s a Panda Express but once several years ago when Addie and I were in Joplin, she insisted in eating at the “Panda place” so we did. I wasn’t super impressed. It wasn’t bad but I had no desire to go back.
When Vince and I were coming back from Arkansas, we had Rita and it was getting to be to hot to leave her in the car so we needed some place that had a tree we could park under and some place that was quick. I keep bottles of water frozen and I stick a couple of those under her sheet in the crate, leave the windows down a bit, leave the sun roof open a little, put her crate in the front seat and leave the car running with the a/c on. We never leave her more than a few minutes, so we ran in in, got our food to go, and ate it in the car. I wasn’t expecting it to be wonderful but it really was.
Yesterday when we had to go to Abilene, I looked up Panda Express and we ate there. It was packed. We almost had to take our food and eat in the car again! I got the same thing I got when we were on the road home from Arkansas. Vince got something different but he really liked his too.
Look at my fortune. They’re obviously smart people there! 🙂
I never thought I’d say this but Panda Express may be my new favorite place to eat in Abilene.

Panda is opening a restaurant not too far from us. I know you watch your carb intake and was wondering what you get there that most fits your dietary preferences. I love Asian food, but I know it’s not always easy to find something on the more healthy side.

We have several P.E.s in our city & it is a frequent take-out meal. We get stuck in a rut and usually order the same thing each time. We order a 3-item plus the rice (or the noodles) and vegetables (you can have half of each rather than the whole of one). That way we usually eat half of the entire meal and save the rest for lunch the next day. My personal faves are the half/half “fried” rice & vegs, kung pao chx, teriyaki chx & mushroom chx. Once in awhile I might change it up a bit. Now that I have my new kitchen, slowly coming back together with stuff that’s been packed up for a very long time, I may start doing some stir-fries again. You can get several of the P.E. sauces at grocery stores now, even at Walmart.

I L.O.V.E. the Panda and always get their orange chicken when I visit my son. probably a good thing…there isn’t one out where we live. and it definitely isn’t Keto, but sometimes you just have to cheat.

What did you order? I have never eaten there; may have to try it!

I ate at the Panda Express in Cedar Rapids IA about a week ago while passing through. There was a line out to the door the whole time we were there, so that suggested the food was good. And it certainly was.

We have a Panda Express, and I think it’s just ok. I prefer our little “hole in the wall” Chinese places that are owned by Chinese/American people who live here. I will go to Panda Express if I happen to be in that neighborhood at dinner time.
Love your fortune! 🙂 I got a fortune the other week that said I would be inheriting an unexpected sum of money. While I wouldn’t protest unexpected money, “inheriting” implies someone has passed away, and that part doesn’t sound good…

I agree with your fortune! Asian food is not my thing!!

I love their Beijing beef and usually get vegetables and not rice so low carb. On the back of the receipt is a survey link and next visit you get a 3 entree for price of 2!

We have them here, in Knoxville and in Oak Ridge, and I like them. Regan and I go there several times a year on our Friday lunches together. There’s a nice variety of options.

There’s one near me that’s convenient when I’m in a hurry. It’s nice to have something other than hamburgers as an option.
What did you get that you enjoyed enough to repeat? Did Vince like it well enough to return, also?

We love Panda and were thrilled when our town finally got one several years ago. Don’t go often, but love it when we do.
