We got back into town mid-afternoon, had to stop and get chicken feed and make a few more stops. Vince said “Want to go back to Diamond R for a burger?” Oh . . the diet! We’ve decided not to worry about the diet til after the 4th. We’ll celebrate and then on Friday, the diet begins anew.
Not only is their fish great but they have the best burgers in town. I get mine on a jalapeno sourdough bun and I had onion rings. Of course, I feel terribly stuffed but it was good. Vince was right though – no need to be on the diet today and tomorrow, then feast on Independence Day.
I’ve been working on the crazy sock pattern and may have a finished sock by this evening or in the morning.

It is hard to stay on a diet when it is a holiday. And you have both been very good about staying on it. Look at all the weight you have both lost. You can get back on it afterwards. Besides sometimes when you go off a diet for a day or two, you lose more than you weighed before.

You’ve done so well, I don’t think it will cause major problems. Besides, after Independence Day, there isn’t anything big until the fall.
