Recently I came across Jennifer Steingass’ Altheda sweater pattern.
I began seeing it on Instagram before the pattern was even available. The yarn she used and several others used, was Istex’ Plotulopi, which actually looks like more of a roving (unspun wool). I did write about it when I first ordered it but now I have it.
Knitters who have used it seem to love it. Everyone says it’s fragile to knit with but after knitting, creates a very sturdy fabric. I ordered enough to make two sweaters.
For Altheda, I’m going to use the Clover Green for the main part of the sweater and the beige for the colorwork.
The other sweater I’m going to use this yarn for is another Jennifer Steingass pattern, Vintersol.
For this one, I’m going to use the dark gray for the main part of the body, the gold where she’s used dark gray and the white where she’s used white.
I’m anxious to start one of these but first, I have to finish two projects besides the Comfort Fade Cardi. That’s what I keep telling myself!
