In all my years of using the cell phone, I’ve never run out of data. I check it from time to time and sometimes I get close enough towards the end of the billing cycle that I have to ration my data usage. But today, with 10 days to go til the next billing cycle, I’m out of data.
We use AT&T, which is all that works at our house. The plan we have is no longer available and the only way to get more data is to go up to the next level, which is $25 more per month. Not doing that since normally the plan we have is good. Once all the data for the plan has been used, the service slows down to the point of being almost useless.
Vince and I share the data plan. What happened was that Vince didn’t realize his phone was not on wifi at home and he was sending pictures and even used his phone as a hot spot once to watch part of a hockey game. When I was in MO, I looked at the data usage and was shocked to see that he was using more data than I had.
It isn’t a big deal but I’m lost without my data.

Don’t feel alone in this data boat! I also have ATT which I’ve had the fewest problems with of any carrier I’ve used, but the data usage is the pits!

Thanks for your list of books read or listened to. When I want something to read I look at your list.

Consider switching to Consumer Cellular. If you go over your limit they automatically increase your service that billing period but you can lower it right away. No contract and great customer service. They use AT&T.

I guess there is always email and FB?? I have a TracFone and it is pay as you go. My service is good until 2021 or 2022 because the time keeps adding to the end. I just buy the minutes and it adds more time to it. When I buy minutes my phone triples the minutes!

I use Straight Talk Unlimited and never have a problem. They use AT&T towers most places

Wish I could send you my extra. We never even use 1 GB between us, as neither of us plays games or watches movies or listens to music, or whatever else uses data. I don’t even know what does, and living in the city, there’s normally wifi around.
