When I got out of bed this morning, I think every muscle, or where there might once have been muscle . . it all hurts! My calves, thighs, shoulder, hips . . ugh! Today will be a good day to sit in the recliner and knit . . ALL day.
I’m pretty thankful for a small garden this year. I planted about 20 tomatoes, 18 peppers, 12 eggplants, 6 cucumbers, 5 more artichokes .. and I think that’s it. The big tomatoes are the ones that grew and produced in the greenhouse all winter. Then it got too hot in there but yet it was a bit too cool some nights outside. We moved everything back into the greenhouse once for a few days. Those tomatoes look bad but they always do at this time of year and they come back and thrive.
To the left of the new stuff is the chard, spinach, lettuce, kale, mustard and collards. The okra will be planted once the garlic all comes out . . we’ll probably hold off til about June 1 to plant the okra.
Today we’re supposed to rain . . maybe storms. They’re saying we could have hail, 3 – 4 inches of rain and extreme wind. Could be the end of the garden . . but I hope note, though I’m seriously happy to have an excuse to stay inside but the rains aren’t supposed to start til this afternoon.

Or maybe it will be just what the newly planted garden loves. =) If you did seeds, they may wash out, but I would think the tomatoes and other stuff might be happy, if the winds aren’t too vicious. Best of luck!

Your idea and my idea of a “small” garden are radically different! LOL. I think my garden is going to be a row or two of okra, a row of carrots, and 2-3 patio tomato plants. I’ve gone back to mowing my own yard, and I don’t think I can keep up with it all.
