If I weren’t the crazy knitter that I am, I would probably have given up on this project but, I rarely give up on anything! This morning I went through all the yarn I’ve purchased . . no . . that is not right. I went through all the yarn that has arrived this week and I have finalized my plans. Seriously!
The yarn on the left, the one in the ball . . that’s the yarn I’m knitting into the sweater now. Next will be the one with the blue-ish teal and some purple, then the pinky purple, and finally, the purple. I’ve gone from ending with a dark blue to ending with a pink, to ending with green to ending with purple. Briefly, I thought the next to last yarn might be too light but then I said . . too bad . . that’s what it’s going to be.
Here’s where I am on this project. The top color is Cosmic Wonder Dust, then Purple Rain and the third color is the one shown in the ball above – Video Baby. All of those are Madelinetosh Twist Light. The next color will be Manos Alegria and the final two are Dream in Color Smooshy so this will also earn me the Cross Contamination Badge for mixing yarn from three different dyers in one project – Madelinetosh, Manos and Dream in Color.
Now, I’m going to go play with all the yarn that did not get selected for his project and see if I can come up with other potential fade projects because one never has too many projects waiting to be knitted!

I love the new yarns for Fade. Looking forward to seeing the completion. I think the same way for quilting….never have too many projects for quilting. I took a finish off the LA just to add another one waiting in line. Only to discover I only have a 500 yd spool of thread of the perfect top thread. sigh…..off to the internet to find Fantsico 5045. Yea Superior threads!!!!!

I think I like this selection. Don’t forget to add your felted bag to your completed list. I don’t see how you keep track of all you work on.

Lovely yarns. I’m glad it worked out with the yarns you are already using/have used!
If the last color is light, at least it won’t be the stark contrast (I think it’s going next to the light, first yarn?) that another was.

I think this will be a lovely combination. You know you can’t go wrong with purples. 🙂
