If you Google “health benefits of garlic”, it’s pretty unbelievable to read some of the claims made. Most of the info is based on taking garlic that has been commercially prepared as a supplement but I’ve always heard eating fresh garlic is good for you too. For sure it will keep the vampires away and probably the neighbors too if we eat enough of it.
Yesterday I browned some of the garlic, then removed it from the pan, cooked the other ingredients and was going to add the garlic back but, in the meantime, Vince came in and said “Can I have some of it?” I said “Sure, take all you want!” He did so I had to peel two more bulbs and start over with the garlic.
Today I peeled the cloves from two garlic bulbs, added a bit of olive oil and spices, then roasted it. I had cooked beef . . kinda like round steak, in the pressure cooker so once the garlic was done, I mashed it with a fork and we spread it as a paste over the beef. It was delicious!
Having fresh garlic is so nice after not having had it for a while. I can freeze dry it, put it in oil and freeze it, roast it, make a paste and freeze that but the fresh . . just dug up out of the ground is about the best thing ever!

I never use garlic because hubby doesn’t like it. I used to cook with it once in a while but I always got complaints, so finally just quit…

I try to eat a clove every day because it’s so good for you. I’m surprised I still have friends.

I love garlic-especially with olive oil, fresh grated cheese and warm bread! I could make a meal out of it – don’t do it much because of the bread (trying to avoid carbs) but I put it in just about everything I cook.

I love the smell of garlic. I tried growing it but have had no success. I have a garlic soup recipe that is unbelievable if you are interested.

I guess you CAN use too much garlic, but I’ve never reached that point. =)

My husband says you can never have too much garlic. I’m not so sure…
My grandmother used to eat raw garlic on bread. I don’t remember her smelling bad, so maybe not every day, but it makes me think of “old wive’s tales” and how much truth there is in folk remedies!
