Besides the driver’s license, there were some fun things that came while I was gone. It was almost like Christmas. Most of the things came from Great Britain or Ireland. It doesn’t take a real long time for these things to arrive but I sometimes almost forget that I’ve ordered them and then they surprise me.
First were these little needle pouches from Knitting I Love. I must have been loving pink that day!
This is all single skeins of Jamieson & Smith’s 2 ply jumper weight. I love these little 125 yard skeins. They have color cards but this yarn is economical enough that you can end up with every color for not too much money. This is the perfect yarn for colorwork. It’s equivalent to 4 ply fingering weight yarn and it’s 100% Shetland wool. I have a friend in Nevada, MO that loves this yarn too and she showed me her collection. So inspiring.
Speaking of colorwork, or fair isle type knitting, two books were waiting for me also. They’re both graphs of fair isle charted designs.
The first fair isle project I’m going to start is the Shetland Wool Week hat.
Those front two packages of J & S yarns are for two hats . . but I’m going to finish two projects before I start the hats.

Yay, Fair Isle! Finally a term I know, and now I will know what you mean by colorwork. LOL

So those pouches must be for knitting needles? Pretty skinny! I guess a different color for a different size? Love the colorwork…I wish I were a better knitter because I always love the detail (in quilting or sewing for sure). Maybe some day. I used to do cross stitch and read from charts but it does seem overwhelming to do with knitting! Can’t wait to see what you do! Hope you feel better soon! Judy, I don’t know if it’s just me or a common problem, but I can’t read your blog in Bloglovin…the ads make the screen go blank by the time I get past the first paragraph. It is weird and only happens on two blogs. I don’t know that this is something you can fix, but it is annoying. I always go directly to your blog and avoid Bloglovin.
