Nicole didn’t have Vince’s number as a contact in her phone. I don’t even know Vince’s number but it is in my contacts. Yesterday we had a call from an inspector who’s coming out to do some work at our place and he wanted to come out today so I told him I couldn’t give him Vince’s number because it was in my phone, I was driving and couldn’t look it up but in 5 minutes I’d be back to the house, would call Vince and have Vince call the guy back.
When we got home, my phone was almost dead so I read out Vince’s number to Nicole and typed in the guy’s number on something open on my tablet. I used Nicole’s phone to call Vince, explain it all to him and gave him the guy’s number so he could call the guy back.
Nicole went to add Vince to her contacts and then . .
She said “You remember the weird text I got the other day??”
Saturday when we got home from Joplin, we all turned off our phones and went to bed to take naps. I actually called Vince and left him a voicemail that we were going to take naps but he didn’t notice it. He couldn’t get me. He called Chad, who was working, and got Nicole’s number. Apparently he called her and she didn’t answer either so he texted her and all he said was “Hide”.
Later during the evening, Nicole said “I got the weirdest text. It just said ‘hide’.” I said “Who was it from?” She said “I don’t know but I deleted it and blocked the number so I won’t hear from them again.” I was ready to call the police but she wasn’t concerned.
Today when she went to add Vince’s phone number to her contacts, it said “Number is blocked. Do you want to unblock it?” I called Vince and said “Did you send Nicole a text this weekend that said . . hide?” Yes! He said “It seemed like y’all were hiding. I said “Oh, my, Vince! That kinda scared me.” He thought it was a perfectly reasonable text and thought we should both have understood it. Really? Nicole had no idea who it was sending her that text.
Another Mars/Venus thing I suppose.

Maybe “hiding?” would make sense but just hide, nope.

LOL, too funny; Yes, that would make sense to a guy, I guess. I don’t understand half the texts I get from my younger one, but my older son is pretty intelligible. LOL
