Yesterday Nicole, Addie and I went to Joplin to do a little shopping and eat out.
I love that Addie dresses herself . . and adorns herself, for these shopping trips.
Complete with earrings, necklace, hair bow . . and a dress with leggings under it.
We ate at Olive Garden and she kept folding and re-folding the napkin and she said “Why did we have to come to such a fancy restaurant?” Has the child never seen a cloth napkin? My kinda girl!
Our shopping consisted of a visit to Old Navy where Addie picked out quite a few summer outfits – mostly shorts and shirts, sandals and one dress. We did find a really nice coat that was marked down from over $50 to $14 and it’s a size 10 – 12. She’s wearing a size 8 coat this year so the 10 – 12 may well fit her next winter.
At TJ Maxx we bought a box covered in unicorn paper and that’s what she will keep by the TV to keep all her library books in so they don’t get separated and lost. She also found a unicorn pancake mix and she and Nicole are in the kitchen making that now. I’ll have to stray off the diet a bit because how could I say no to her unicorn pancakes?

Photo of Unicorn Pancake please? Can’t imagine. Thanks.

I think they are just pink and purple pancakes, though I guess that there are cookie cutters and silicone molds out there to actually make one in the shape of a unicorn.

She is definitely a cutie with her own style. As for resisting unicorn pancakes – unicorns are so rare, I don’t think they can possibly have any calories in them, can they? 😉

She is growing up into a beautiful girl! Just like her mama and grandma.
