Yesterday Nicole held Speck down and used their comb/brush that’s supposed to remove the undercoat.
There was probably 10 times that much hair. I was sweeping it up and throwing it out as she was brushing it out. Nicole said she can do that every day and get that much hair off him this time of year. He sheds a lot all the time but this time of year when he’s losing his winter coat, it’s just awful!
But . . he’s a good dog and you know what we go through for our dogs!
I was tempted to bag some of it up and take it home to spin. Still might do that just for the heck of it. I could make Addie a wool/Huskie hat.

I was a groomer and had a friend who wanted all the Husky or Husky cross hair that I could bag. She made beautiful items with it. Addie would love it.

I met a lady from San Antonio who made yarn from all kinds of dog coats. I bet my white chow would have some pretty hair for yarn! It would definitely have to be cleaned first!! LOL

Wow, that’s a lot of hair. Probably more than I have on my head. LOL

My mother was orphaned pretty young (11, I think) but had memories of her mother grooming their standard poodle and using its fur for mittens. She said they were water resistant.
