Visiting with Family

When I’m in Texas, I’m ok with staying there and not moving back to Missouri. When I’m in Missouri, I want to move back. I love being with them. It doesn’t seem so hard that we can’t all live within a reasonable proximity of each other and be happy! I don’t have to live in the same town or even the same state but .. I want to be closer but . . that’s apparently not going to happen.

I got here early enough yesterday that I was able to pick Addie up. She was so excited . . and so was I. Chad was off yesterday so we went to Addie’s favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. I had a burrito without the tortilla and drank water. I would rather not eat out at all but I’m sure we’ll be eating out some while I’m here. Addie and I will definitely be eating sushi at least once.

Mornings are so easy with her. I was telling Chad how much easier it is with Addie because getting him out of bed and dressed and to school on time . . I was worn out by the time I dropped him off. He said “It’s still that way!” He is so not a morning person.

This morning Addie woke up about 15 minutes before the alarm went off. She said “Granny! Wake up! I’m not tired anymore!” We got up. Nicole was already gone to work. Chad doesn’t have to go into work til around noon so he was still sleeping. Addie was totally dressed and ready for me to do her hair about 10 minutes after waking up.

I brought eggs from home and she wanted bacon and eggs for breakfast but they didn’t have bacon. We decided she would have breakfast at school and I’d get bacon so we can have bacon and eggs tomorrow.

I went by the grocery store after dropping her at school and got things we need for a few keto meals here and got bacon.

Chad will leave about 11 for work, Nicole will be home a little after 11 for lunch. I will leave about 2:30 to go get Addie at school . . the days are filled with fun family time!
