There are some things that just don’t come across as well when writing and I’ve been wanting to do some video blogs for a while. I had asked Vince if he would be interested in doing video podcasts with me and he said yes but he wanted to do his typical engineer research for weeks and you know me . . I’m impatient and I want to do it now.
I’m sure a better camera and a better microphone would help .. but so would a bigger house with a place I could get out of the middle of all the commotion. During one attempt ad making the video, Rita was having a nightmare and started howling!
This morning I decided I was just going to do it. Use the iPad .. no special equipment and I did it.
Here’s the first one. Actually, that was the second one. Please don’t stop reading and watching til you get to the end and hear Rita’s “blooper”. I couldn’t believe it. I was right on track to get a successful video blog . . until this happened . . unless you count the bluebird pecking on the back window and distracting me.
I wanted to share the new yarn that was arriving and as soon as I finished the video, I got a notice that my packages had been delivered so I drove up and got them and did a second video.
Let’s hope this all works. Let’s hope I get better and quicker with getting these edited and uploaded.
There was even a blooper! Rita began having a nightmare during the middle of Take #2 and I decided to start over.
All in all, it was a memorable experience. Aside from the iPad not communicating with any of my Android devices and the iPad being almost full to capacity so it wouldn’t upload any of the videos, this was fun. I know I shouldn’t blame the iPad because there’s too much stuff on it but if Knit Companion would get their Android version up to where the IOS version is, I’d never own another Apple product. I know we’re all different and some feel the same way about Android products but . . I’m just not an Apple girl.
Sometime today I hope to get “show notes” done and will clarify everything I mentioned. Oh . . Addie is in kindergarten. Next year, she will be in first grade. I mentioned that I was making a gift for her second grade teacher for next year. Nope . . not yet! I got ahead of myself there.
