We’ve been on the low carb diet for two months and for about 90% of those two months, I’ve been wanting a BLT. After making the low carb bread the other day, Vince toasted a slice of it and said it was great. Vince made a bacon and egg sandwich the other morning and that made me think . . I can make a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich!
We had a Cherokee Purple tomato ripe in the greenhouse so I grabbed it and for dinner yesterday, I had my BLT.
That big empty spot on my plate was longing for potato chips. Thank goodness we had none in the house. A few garlic stuffed olives were just as good and way more healthy.
It’s so nice to be able to have toast or a sandwich.

You are killing me with the mention of your tomatoes.
I am going to Florida in 2 weeks just to get tomatoes. Not really, I am visiting a friend and the warm sun. But REAL tomatoes are a big plus.

The only tomatoes we have now are grown in the greenhouse. It will be a while before we get them out of the garden but the greenhouse tomatoes are still homegrown and taste great!

I was just in Florida and the tomatoes were not home grown and fresh where I was?? I was looking forward to fresh tomatoes too.
